Hi all
We are now at the peak of the summer season. Now is the time to get out and about and get those winning shots. Perhaps we should be leaving our comfort zones and trying something new.
The weather is mostly kind to us at the minute and this is likely to be a busy week for photographers. Two major events to note –
Spetchley Park Worcester August 10/11th multi Re-enactment meeting – one of biggest in the country. Over 1000 take part in Living History event.
Hartpury College (near Gloucester) 4-day equestrian event August 8-11th (cross country on 10th)
We really are spoilt for choice. Also this week, our summer programme takes us to Evesham on Tuesday for the Chinese meal – always a popular night in the calendar. Further details will be provided by Mike in due course.
Also of note, the next committee meeting will be on Monday 12 August. If there is any matter of note that you would like us to cover, please contact myself or any committee member in the next few days.
To finish with – most of you will also be aware that two of our members suffered the theft of their cameras and other gear. Any theft or burglary is devastating and hurtful. We tend to have expensive gear for our hobby, which is also a magnet to criminals. Whilst the impact of crimes like this takes its toll, it is good to see people rallying round in support.
Well, that’s it for this week. I hope to see you all on Tuesday.
Best wishes
David
