Hi all
Well, we promised you a great night with Peter Gennard last week – and he didn’t disappoint. His take on environmental portraiture was innovative and inspiring, laced with oodles of good humour and tips. His nature images – whilst brief – were also top class.
This week, we move on to our 43rd Print competition – Colour and Wildlife sections. Our judge is Claire Carter. Claire has presented at Bromsgrove in the recent past and we remember well her landscape and nature images – based primarily in Shropshire. Good luck to all that are taking part.
There will be an early session this week which I will be presenting. This will be on Photo-editing, following on from my introductory talk on Affinity Photo in December. I will explain how I work on RAW images and also show basic editing techniques to make your images stand out from the crowd. I will focus on how to draw the eye to the main subject matter in the photo and make it “POP”. Whilst I will be using Affinity Photo the techniques will be easily transferable to Photoshop and other software.
Both sessions will be available on Zoom – subject to the usual gremlins which hopefully will be absent. Zoom invites will follow in due course.
See you all on Tuesday.
Best wishes
David
