It was great to see so many of you at Wild Goose nature reserve yesterday. There were not quite as many insects as last year, but still a good selection – I’m still sorting through all my photos. It’s a really good place to visit for anyone that likes photographing insects (or enjoys nice food!) Thanks to Beks for arranging it.

This coming Tuesday, weather permitting, there is another Beks-led trip, to Worcester Old Cemetery – Beks has circulated details and will confirm nearer the time whether the trip is going ahead. Another new venue for me, so I’m looking forward to it.

The following week we did have a walk along the canal in Stourbridge pencilled in, to be led by Ele, but this has had to be cancelled as she’s away. We will try to find an alternative, so watch your email.

Dave Ward has sent out an email regarding the popular Chinese Meal that we have every year around this time – this year it’s on August 6th. Please reply directly to him if you are planning to attend.

Finally, watch your email inbox for information about renewing BPS membership for 2024-25. We have an exciting programme planned starting from September, details on the website as usual, so I hope everyone is planning to join again for next year!

That’s all for now – hope to see some of you on Tuesday in Worcester.

Richard
