Thanks to everyone that came to help out on the High Street Stall yesterday. It’s hard to know how successful it was – I guess the proof of the pudding will be whether any potential new members turn up on Tuesday – but it was fun chatting to the public – and to other BPS members. During quieter moments there was plenty of people-watching to do, all the while being serenaded by the nearby busker. Note to self for next year – bring earplugs (preferably enough to sell).
Tomorrow the exhibition will be going up at the library – thanks to Anne for arranging that. Then on Tuesday it’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for – the start of the new season of meetings at Avoncroft Arts Centre.
This week’s meeting is billed as an open evening, designed to provide as much information and encouragement to potential new (and returning) members as possible, describing what the club is about, what we have planned for this season, and so on. I’ll be setting up from around 7pm with the official start at 8pm.
I hope to see lots of you on Tuesday.
Richard
