Something a little bit different for model night last week – a male model. Gary was very photogenic and an experienced model who knew exactly how to pose! I hope you all got some good shots – remember to send a few to Gary at the email address that Colin provided.

An excellent result at the MCPF Championships yesterday – as Jenny reported, we came 5th out of 24 entrants in the prints section, which is a very strong showing. Huge thanks to the team on the day – it’s a slightly complicated competition which requires a rapid selection process between the first and second rounds, so it’s not just a question of turning up to support BPS, there was work to be done on the day. Thanks to Kay, Sheila, Sue and Jule, but especially to Jenny for organising everything! Well done.

This coming Tuesday we start with an early session, presented by me and talking about macro photography. This will be followed by the Annual Open competition – with images in all three categories, and PDI as well as print, it promises to be a busy evening! Given the standard of images we have been seeing in the club competitions this year it should be well worth watching, and could be very tightly fought. The judge is Bob Moore MPAGB EFIAP BPE5*.

Also coming up this week, on Thursday there is an interclub competition at Stourport. Jenny has sent out details of which images have been selected to represent BPS, and will be sending out details of the venue soon. It’s always nice to see a good contingent of supporters from BPS at these “away” matches.

That’s all for now – see you all on Tuesday.
