I hope everyone else enjoyed Monica Doshi's presentation last Tuesday as much as I did. It features some of my favourite places and some of my favourite subjects, accompanied by a commentary on how and why each shot was taken and some of the artistic and compositional decisions associated with each shot. A most enjoyable evening.
This week we have an early session covering setting up manual mode on your camera, run by David and me. Every camera is different, so it would be a good idea to bring your camera with you if you want us to be able to demonstrate how to set up your particular model.
This will be followed by the final PDI competition of the (calendar) year. Should be some great images on display, with Mono and Nature sections. The judge will be Colin Walls CPAGB AIPF ARPS. Please be respectful of the judge (and the rest of the audience) and refrain from voicing your own comments on the pictures being presented while the competition is in progress - save your comments for the tea break or the end of the evening.
Remember that this week is the last opportunity to book your place for the New Year's Party on January 7th.
